Active crossover set up?

Is running a 4 channel amp (so that one channel to each tweeter and each midbass driver) to your components THAT much better than just using a 2 channel amp? Would I notice any difference?
It could, but not for example in my setup.

My 4 channel amp can only crossover at

a maximum of 1.2K Hz. Most all components

tweeters would sound bad like that.

But if you can crossover somewhere between

2K and 4K, you should be able to get a great

improvement in sound.

a JL Audio 300/4 can crossover at 5 Khz for both front and rear channels...this is great right?

You would need a 4 channel amp that will let you bandpass the mids if your HU won't do it.

If you're not the kind of person who wants to buy raw drivers and play around with xovers/tuning a lot to get it just right, then I'd just go with a decent passive set up.

I was plannin on using the DLS MS6a in kick panels

Baller.... I am on my350z with you.... Trust what Bing tells you and do not go with that JL amp.... The DLS will be much better for you and you will be happier.
Chris
The DLS doesn't give as much power to the sub, unless I do a passive set up and get the DLS A5, which I'm considering...
