AC-to-DC converter

I want to build a tool box with speakers / HU... I was just wondering how many amps an average HU will pull?

And anyone have an idea of the price range for an AC-To-DC 12V adapter with that kind of amps?

an hu will draw no more then a few amps, like 2-5. you can get cheap ones for like 15-20 bucks at radio shack and shit.

Can I use a computer's power supply's 12v rail?

Yes you can and it's pretty simple to set up. And yea, headunits shouldn't pull more than 5 amps so a computer power supply will work great (I've done it quite a few times).
