About to buy a used car

no one is going to mention the back window being smashed on the car the op listed..?
I never even took a look:eyebrow:Well, windows can be replaced, for cheap in most cases, and if thats all thats wrong with it, and its mechanic sound, it may be a good buy, I can look pass a $100 window, or find one in a yard cheaper than that.If its a good car, a broken window not going to stop me from buying it.My door has a huge dent, but I have one to replace soon as Ive been waiting for better weather, and for $40 bucks??With the glass, and knobs, all in tact, even the same color:cool:

Im gonna make a list of cars for you guys to give me your thoughts on...

DONE for now Tell me what you think!

Well an Acura RSX is sportsy..LOL if you want payments, prob find one about 8k and under used, and with a 6spd *****,it will haul a s s !!SC2000 is a pricey joker!!!Go test drive one and check it out LOL,Even like the older 94 and up and some sporty look to them, Civics can be spruced up also..Something to look at also. You can get a 4dr and keep the insurance cost down, and mod the car up also, youll get a break on the 4dr on insurance rather than a 2dr coupe if you are under the age of 25.Ive seen some BA 4dr hondas, and fast at that,I was trying to find a decent one at the time I ran across the DX hatch.Ive put as little into the car due to not wanting to keep it.Keep your eye out for like the 1.6,or 1.8 vtecs easy to modify, and easy on the wallet. For $1300-3k you cant go wrong in my opinion.Tear alot of v8s up

1997 DelSol DOHC FS/FT
Id buy that 92 before id buy that 99 any day of the week! Just my 2cents,Stay away from that Mits car ..JUNK!! cost more to fix than the car is worth,***** always have issues, and stay away from that Toyo, parts are hard to find for that car.Prelude? Not bad, but body parts are hard to find, and I have never liked those vehicles, kind of gas guzzlers. That 92 if I had the funds would be my buy though.

If your talking about this one (JDM 92 Acura Integra-DA9) I was thinkin the same

Not a bad little car,Id offer $2800 highest for it.That looks like it may have a 1.6,or 1.8 liter, supposed to have come with a 1.6,Those cars are good cars/reliable,and can be mod up to run on up to 6k on the rpm without hitting the rev limiter.

Ya thats a nice car,not much on the color for my taste, but paintable in the future, and id ask if he installed a blow-Off valve on that engine. If not you can add one on later, only like $75 to 100,will save your engine if you are going to run it up.Id paint it stock /point blank Black, with no skirts, look stock. My 90 240 is an auto, but could be a standard mod easily..Maybe I should make a drive, after I put my newer engine in..LOL

Rebuilt engine? Prob another 200k, if you keep the oil changed, and spark plugs.I use Castoil, and NKG plugs.Keep the maintenance up on it,who knows???My aunts 94 Honda Accord has a little over 400k, and still running strong.?A/c, and everything works Great, and still looks great.

Yea totally I was thinking Black or maybe flat black would be cool and Ill definitely see about the blow off valve good idea... How long do you think this car will last at 251k miles?

EDIT My bad so you think itll last for 200k more?

Possibly.Id ask for the reciepts for the engine rebuild parts, but, its only as good as the person who rebuilds it.But Id ask why he is selling also though??If you get a full yr out of that engine, for me, to get me to work and back, would have paid for itself over 10 times with what I make after all my bills($3200 a month)

Alright so tomorrow ill ask for engine rebuild parts, If theres a blowoff valve, reciepts, why is he sellin it and i gotta work him down to 2800? Would you pay up to 3k or not worth it? Also its a 92 so how can I get a carfax on it??

Do some more looking around also, but if you can take the time, id go look at it, and drive it,you know?Take your dad, and or someone that can look at the car also, that knows about engines ect,and an extra set of eyes,as they may see something good or bad that you cant see for yourself. My brother just bought a 72 Chevy truck from Corvet World in Dallas last Weekend, and I was not there with him to look at the truck this time.He has been looking for a while, him and I both, and he bought the truck for $3900 cash.I met him to go pick it up, looked fair from the car window, walked up to it, and asked him where the hell are the leafsprings at bro????Your not gonna be putting much in the back of that truck, or even be able to pull a 4x8 trailer..LOL!! Over all, its a fair truck, and I will put the springs on for him with his help of course, but that truck is only worth about $2500 max to me.But he likes it, and thats what matters most.Fixable,$200 bucks max, and some time, and maybe a beer or two to go along with it,and he will be able to pull a trailer like he needs.
