im looking at the KOLE AUDIO TRAX1-6=7000D and i was wondering if any 1 has ever used cole audio and if so how they hold up and if they do the power they say the put out. If some 1 could let me know it would be a big help

If I recall correctly that amp puts out just over rated, buy 2.

or if thats junk to then what amp is some what cheaper that will be able to put at least 3200rms at 2ohm and 4000 at 1 ohm

i like this fourm so much more than my other 1 i use i get my ? answered quickly which means alot when ur try n to figure out what u need to buy

right now i got a POS Quantium 4000 mono block im try n to sell 4 $300 and i was going to get my MA AUDIO HK4000D fixed but that was going to cost me like 450 and i figured that if i can find another amp new or the same size 4 a lil more or less then i will get that the most i wanna spend right now is 600

but i also dont plan on having this amp 4 ever bc im tring to save up to get a DDZ2LV but i got a long way to go till i get that so i need a amp that will last at least 2 years. I want something that will give that sub plunty of power for daily and when i need to go to comps i can give that sub all the amp will give it.

so any opions are welcome

4k@1ohm for $600 is a little hard. If your are willing to buy used there are a few deals you can find. There is a Hifonics XX Cyclops for sale here for $700 shipped. If you are willing to take a lower power amp then a sundown 3500d would be a good option (or a used 3000d)

Those can be had for 600+. db-r sells them new and re-furb. or you can get a used one from this forum here.

The amps you mentioned would get the job done cheaply. But, they only give about half of rated rms. I use a bamf series amp from power acoustik. It really only does mid 2k@1ohm. They publish 3200@1ohm. (kole and pa use the same boards from what I have heard).

Since you run a DD 9515, I think you should go for something halfway proper. I'm all about value (watts/$$), but don't smoke a DD with a crappy amp.

2kw is enough for that sub, but 3kw is beautiful.

a couple options:

Hifonics XXV Colossus. Bridge it and get 2200wRMS @ 4 ohm. Reliable and strong.

Audiopipe ap30001d - ~$350 and does 3kw @ 1 ohm

Sundown saz-3000d

List goes on...

I was drooling over that Cyclops earlier... but it'd melt his 9515 unless he's doing SPL burps.

im thinking about getting a audioque 3500D... how do u think it will do on stock for a little till i get a couple batterys and a new alt
