about box for an 18" solo x

ok..my friend is a car audio installer pro...and he does this for a livin..and the solo x manual says that an SPL box should be 10 cu ft with a 300 sq in. port that is 9" deep. i am running this solo x off of (2) mojo amps which are 2400 watts per amp.

i love my sub and amp..it is so ***** :boobies:

now we got the 300 sq in port but we have like a 15 cu ft box...now..is that goin to hurt my sub?..he said "that is good..cause big is good just not to big"..now is that right or not ? will it be louder with a smaller box..

it will make the tuning lower.... are you sure its 15 cubic feet AFTER the displacement of the sub and port?
