? about Audiobahn amps and my subs

ok...I have Two 12" Kicker L7's ..there DVC 2

I can wire them at 1,2,4-whatever i want..just the wireing options are different...

I was looking at a BEtter Audio 1600x1@1........but now i see Audiobahn amps...

Audiobahn A2200HCX

2-CHANNEL HIGH CURRENT POWER AMPLIFIER

200 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms stereo

400 watts x 2 @ 2 ohms stereo

600 watts x 2 @ 1 ohm stereo

1600 watts x 1 @ 1 ohms mono

I would run it at 1 ohm...So if i run it at 1 ohm Mono, It can be 800 watts per sub, correct?

Some people say it wouldnt work...whats the big difference between Stero/Mono???

your right on everything except your wiring options. if you have dvc 2 ohms your wiring options are 1 and 4 seperate and .5, 2, 8 ohm together.

though i would possible look into the audiobahn A18001DQ. Its a class D not a high current amp so you will most likely get better output from the amp. I have one of these myself they are a great amp. I am also not recommending this cause i have one for sale either, i just love them.

I just did an upgrade to the A4125HCQ cause it better suites my wiring needs. If your interested in the a18001dq send me a pm. Ill be running two brahma which means i can only run 600 watts to each sub using the a18001dq. SO i got the A4125HCQ cause i can wire them seperatly and give them both 1000 watts at 1 ohm. Also the A4125HCQ and A18001DQ have a mush smaller footprint 15-17 inches the A2200HCX is 24" inches long. ANother thing to think about.
