I am trying to install a Jensen CDH-1000 into my 1994 Plymouth Acclaim (yuck it up), I had a Sony Xplod in it earlier. I removed the old cd player put the new one in. All the wiring it done well and taped up correctly. The cd player turns on has power, spins cd's and plays, the equalizer displays playing music, the only thing coming out of my speakers is small crackles!! I took out a pair of car speakers that I knew worked, attempted to play the stereo on that and only got the static. I checked all the fuses and wiring. The only way i get music, is by connecting the amp output to any of the speaker's positive terminals, but that is a very low quality connection. Please Help!!!!!

Can't really shed any light on this... there's probably something I'm missing, but you might just have a faulty HU... get in touch with Jensen and maybe they'll be able to help you out?

Good luck... =)

It really sounds like a problem with your wireing. sounds like you have a couple crossed. I would double/triple check them. Also do you have a harness or did you actually cut the wires? if you have a harness or no anyone with the same deck as u try it in there car, try their deck in your car.

Honestly I don't think it would be hard for them to make it where you use android auto AND your own music source. They made it able to do so...

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
