A Subwoofer you have NEVER seen before! Eminent Technology Model 17

I never said 1hz was necessary, I just said it could replicate it.

The fan can displace MUCH larger volumes of air compared to a conventional subwoofer because of its design...I dont get why this is so hard for you to believe?

If you've read about it over on diyaudio.com then why are you arguing with me about it? You obviously know it can...just that it isnt necessary. Which isnt our argument.

is 160dB necessary? is 800hp necessary?

we dont do it because we need it...but because we can.

in the near future...people may have competitions to who can go the deepest!

theres an option

also...what about an Atomic explosion? Earthquake? Meteor Strike? Volcanic Eruption?

Those all have enough energy to generate 1hz, which would be needed to accurately depict it in a movie.

quoted from this source

Some large mammals, such as elephants, rhinoceros and whales, are known to use infrasound at frequencies just below 20 Hz to communicate with each other over distances of many kilometres. Man-made infrasound at frequencies between about 0.1 and 10 Hz is also produced by large chemical or nuclear explosions, rockets and supersonic aircraft. But the main source of infrasound is the Earth itself, which generates acoustic waves at much lower frequencies from volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, avalanches, earthquakes, meteors, aurora, storms and atmospheric turbulence. Infrasound also comes directly from the Earth's solid interior, producing a constant vibration or "hum" with a frequency of just a few millihertz (see "The mystery of the Earth's low-frequency hum").

Your point? Like this was unknown?

What matters is millihertz are simply puressure variation,s i would harly call it sound. On top of that, even extremely high tech microphones cannot pick up 1hz, we cant hear/sence 1hz, and any signal below 5Hz is likely synthesized and not recorded.

That is all.

No it wouldnt because, as I said before, I cant think of a movie track with dips below 5Hz off of the top of my head.

Reguardless of that fact you are going to come back saying "uhhuh uhuh" so I am done with this arguement.

Bottom line, 1Hz isnt needed for the full movie experence and if it where it can be done for less than the 10k or w/e they are asking.
