it is a very nice design...but can only reproduce up to 30hz (1-30hz)

Too expensive...but a DIY design wouldnt be too hard to replicate

It was a long time ago since I read about it. I believe it was called something like the ionic wind speaker. But anyways I thought it was like $10k or something crazy like that.

Bet you havent heard of the super turd woofer...If you squeeze your own shit tight enough in your hand, it will burp a 1hz tone!

Seriously though, very interesting design. Don't know why it would be so expensive. Doesnt look like anything you couldnt make on your own.

they are handbuilt and they come to your house and design/do the install themselves

Not really too $$$ compared to the competition, the JL Gotham subwoofers are $10k and the Velodyne Servodrive DD18 is like 5k and those cant touch 5hz...let alone 1hz

For the price of that you can have:

-An Adire Parthenon, Dipole or one a conventional basket (assumeing they will still manufacture one)

-Bookoos of cheap high displacement (l/$) IB drivers with bookoos of power

-A pair of some extremely high displacement drivers with lots of motor force and low Fs in a couple of large vented enclosures with lots of power

-a REAL bass horn.

All of thoes will be cheaper than 10k and you dont have to have a fan running constantly causing ambient noise.

And you dont really need 1hz and i doubt its responce at 1hz is any more than what any of hte above but one could do. Do you realize the displacement needed for use to sence 1hz at all? Deffanitely not what a few fan blades can provide.
