a really stupid question, followed by a smart answer (im hoping)

look at it this way....at least you didnt go through the hassle of taking the fender off to run some wires and then wrecked it.......
well, as sad as it is.... that is a good way to look at it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

'96. The boot goes into the fender area. Gonna try wire hanger or fishing line.

im pretty sure its a total loss, Im thinking there is too much damage to the a pillars and roof supports.

FU(KING DEER!!!!!!
So sorry to hear that. I hope you didn't have too much invested into your truck.

I'd say look at it this way. Even if you would have ran wire, got everything setup and wasted a bunch of time, you walked away from that. That is by far more important.

Although, what if by running the wire, and drilling the hole you would slightly disrupted the whole space time continum and changed your destiny by a few minutes. The deer never would have been in front of you and the truck would have been save.

The lesson learned? Always do what CA.com members tell you to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

J/K glad you didn't get hurt bro.

I hate how the freaking mids are secured to the door panel itself on my girls '96.

This is why you never swerve to avoid an animal in the road.

I have no idea why people do this.....I've had to lecture my wife a few times over swerving around stupid shit like rabbits. But same applies to larger animals like deer.

Chances are good far less damage have been sustained from hitting the animal as opposed to flipping the truck. Not to mention the much higher injury risk associated with rolling a vehicle/etc.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I didnt swerve... the front right wheel had a better bite on the road (the road was wet, and it was sorta on the burm) and pulled the fully locked rear wheels around.

I knew that, and was thinking it the whole time. one of the few things I actually kept in mind from drivers ed.
