a really stupid question, followed by a smart answer (im hoping)

just use the factory wiring. It's not gonna hurt you any.

But I have to find it!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

hopefully this helps.

on the right is the door, you can see the factory loom running directly to the fender wich is farther back.

dimensions are tight, so I dont know if I can get a drill (even a 90 dgree drill) in there....

what to do?

Just drill a couple holes and use wire loom like was mentioned earlier.
if I close the door, what's keeping it from being pulled out?

how can I get a drill in there without taking the door off. they close really well right now, and I dont want to mess up the alignment... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

ya from that picture looks like you might have to take the fender panel off...can you see where the boot comes into the inside of your car or is it behind the dash?
ofcourse, it is behind the dash //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

wow looks like your up a creek with this car....So theres no possible way you can get to the opening of it right now behind your dash? and if not you might have to take it off which I can't help you there

That's what you get for buying a Ford.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i would just run new wire loom into a grommet on the ranger.

for the civic, what I have found works best to get wire through the boot is a long zip tie or something similar. My Buick had some tight bends in the boot between the door and the car body, so I snaked a long zip tie thru the door, duct taped the wire to the end and then pulled it thru into the door. worked really well

Use the "snake effect".. tape/connect the wire you'd like to use w/tha wire already provided @ tha speaker.

Then start pulling the stock wire from the place it runs through the door.. & bam. You've got aftermarket wiring running where stock was.

BUT HOW DO I DRILL THE HOLES WITHOUT TAKING THE DOOR OFF!!!

that is the simplest answer, but I don't think the door opens wide enough for a drill.

on the pass side of the ranger, the ECU is right behind the kick panel...... can't drill through that

Not sure what your problem is, its hard to orientate myself from that pic, but in the 1994 Ford Ranger Extended cab we ran a wire through the loom to the door, it sucks balls to on the drivers side b/c the ecu is directly in the way
