A question for the evolutionists

Ok I understand the theory of evolution, I do agree with it, as well as the big bang theory. At least I have the basics everyone else does, but here is my question, if you take these theories back far enough do they really disprove the existence of God?

For example:

Theory of Evolution : Humans are descended from apes, who were descended from something else.......which was descended from a single cell life form.

Who or what created the single cell life?

Big Bang Theory : Our universe started out with an explosion of matter and energy.

Where did this matter and energy appear from?

I believe your belief in this god feller is just a hopefulness you have in order to make your life somewhat meaningful.

The Bible, and all religous material for that matter, is just full of meaningful stories that seem to be made up by others to get people to behave a certain way.

I concur. That has always been my reasoning, and no one will accept it or even debate it.

Religion was created by man, correct? Jesus Christ says that all men are created equal, all make mistakes and all err. People f&ck up is what I get out of it. Now, take into account that not only did MAN write The Bible, but again King James had people re-write it into the KJV of The Bible that we read today. How much of it is still original?

Furthermore, I personally believe, this being my viewpoint, that religion was created to relieve stress from mankind. Stress from questions like "what's next" or "how" or "why", it also allowed people to look forward to life after death. It eases the mind and allows you to disregard issues, soulfully believing that when it's all over, it will be okay.

Just my opinion though. And as odd as it is, I'm not really an Atheist. I believe in a higher power - I just dont know what in the world it is. That, my friends, is called agnosticism.

just live your life to the fullest, dont worry about that too much. i mean we have existed for what? thousands of years? while the earth, and animals in general have been around for many millions of years. we will be gone long before there is an "answer". things just evolve to adapt to their environment. Humans will destroy the earth in a few hundred years... o well.

I don't believe they are either, but they are used all the time by people saying things like god didn't create mankind.

I've never been particularly religious, I do think there may be a god. I'm just not sure he's had anything to do with earth in the last thousand or million or billion years.

And as said above, take it one step further back, then who created god.

Humans have been doing this since the beginning of times. It's the basis behind all myths.

And OP: There are some things that our minds simply cannot comprehend... like the true thought of "infinity". We always have to have a beginning and end of everything... when, often times, there's not.

many things could have created life, the question is who or what encoded our cells to die after a certain amount of time? I don't think cancer cells die, so why should our cells die?
