Yea I do and my bass settings are low and my sub level is at 5 out of 15 I believe.

put ur bass settings at 0 then raise ur sub level to 15 then RESET your gains with the tutorial on this site, it's freakin easy and that smell should never come back.

Yea I know some companies will lie about there rating but I got some great reviews about these speakers from people like snoopdan. Many others said they enjoy these subs and were even able to put double the rms into these subs so maybe its just my bad luck. I will probly just do it all again. and this time do my ajustments on my amp just right. I thank you all for the help especially daddydolas and lovinthebass.

if he tries to get the most sound out of that amp, as most ppl do, he will clip his signal

well subs for $300 should be rated right on or underrated. idk man it's prolly the sub level bein so low and the clipping ur puttin the subs through. just reset everything and you should be fine.

prolly 2000 at most and taht is with it at 13.8 V and 100% efficiency and his amp is prolly only near 70% to 80% if it's Class D

yes he is wantin more then the amp can do cleanly but it will just end up bein clipped heatin up the subs voice coils and them givin off the smell

he has never once mentioned how the bass sounds so the clipping part seems to be the factor for him.

just turn your gain down and see if the smell goes away.

basically dont try to make them as loud as they can be until you can feed that amp what it needs

unless you dont mind buying new subs

And I will follow exactly those istructions I thankyou all so much for the help I 'm glad I didn't get any as sholes that like to make fun or tell you how stupid you are than help. I really appreciate this because I don't have money to waste to keep buying subs. Thanks so much once again. On my way out side to turn down the gain. Also what about the bass boost.
