A Question for everyone

I have 2 Massive Dmx stage 2 15's and I have them hooked up to a Massive P3000.1 amplifier running at 2 ohms. I keep getting this burning smell from them when I crank on them hard. Even though I didn't think I was cranking them hard because the company says one of these speakers can take one of those amps alone. I was wondering did anyone have any of those problems with your speakers and I'm not talking about just Massive i'm asking about all brands. Please list your speakers, amp and ohm load there running at. Thank you

Could be just excess glue melting off.

feel the middle of the cone to see if its superhot, if so the coils are overheated

Also if the coils are over heating what can I do to chang it.

turn the gains down and see if it goes away. lol

maybe the subs are wearing out or you are pushing them to hard with that voice coil burning smell. if you keep smellin that smell and it gets stronger the subs will usually go out with some smoke or it could be just the glue melting off.

My gain, my freq, my lpf, and my bass boost is like a couple knotches away from half and my subsonic filter off. And also do you think they may take a beating better at 1 ohm or 0.5 ohm

if u dont know if ur gains are set correctly they r probably not
