a question about an install

In my brothers 02 jetta I'm putting an amp board behind the back seat. About 20" behind that an mdf wall scribed to the wheelwells and what not with the box attached to the back. The sub is a tc-10 oem, my question is will the bass be trapped in the trunk? I don't want it to sound choked in the cabin.

i guess im not understanding how the box is gonna be. can you explain it any better

With the trunk lid open you will see a vertical wall with the sub centered in it firing rearward which will be located under and towards the back of the rear deck. The .7cu.ft. box is attached to the back of the wall which would be visible with the back seat down except there will be a vertical amp board there at the angle of the seat back. I'm just wondering if this will be to tight considering I've scribed the wall to the wheel wells and the contour of the trunk? The only thing I can think is cutting somewhat of a vent into the rear deck.

or you could take out your rear speakers, and that will act like two ports through your rear deck

I'm pretty sure it only has rear door speakers but thats kind of my idea.

im not familiar with jettas, i was just mentioning it because alot of people will take out there rear fill, and its usually on the back deck. but it sounds like you will be fine.

Blackbonnie, How do you like the 1606d. That's what were gonna use for the tc-10 oem

its great, gives nice clean power, a little overrated but not a ton. nice amp IMO and ecspecially since i only payed 150 shipped for it, and it was only 2 months used and flawless. great amp though.
