I have a 72 Olds Cutlass that i'm restoring and i wanna put some serious bump in the trunk. I'd like to go with 12's or 15's but i seriously want it to shake walls down. What amps and subs do you suggest? I'm not trying to spend a fortune but at the same time i don't want some cheap bullshit. anyways thnx in advance

Possibilities are endless. First and foremost, what is your budget? How much trunk space do you have? Are you primarily concerned with getting loud as hell or sounding good?
$4-5000 would be ideal. and when i say 4-5 i mean for everything from the head unit to the wiring to dynamat to speakers in the cabin as well. i want it sound good obviously but be loud as hell as well. you know the prevebial best of both worlds. and i have trunk space for days. i'll get an exact measurement this weekend

Holy hell! That will buy you a hell of a system. Is this just for subs and amps or do you want subs, amps, speakers, head unit, deadening, head unit and electrical upgrades? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sorry still waking up. i edited the post. i basically have saved and sold stuff to get together about 10 grand for this thing so i want it to be nice

I'd start off by checking out a pair of these:

Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15's:

And a pair of these to match:

Incriminator Audio 20.1's

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_45&products_id=111

Or, you could go with Fi BTLs, Sundown Nightshades, Mach 5 SPLs, Ascendant Audio Havocs, RE MTs or DC Level 4/5s. Also, check out Sundown Audio's amplifiers.

Those subs will shake down the block for sure. Give them 1500-2000w RMS apiece and you'll hurt peoples' ears. As far as a head unit goes, do you want a regular head unit, a flip-out or a double din? Do you want navigation?

Also, what size speakers can you fit in your doors?

i'm still trying to decide on the head unit type. i'm thinking along the lines of touch screen navi but i'm not too sure yet. you live in greece and go to school in searcy ARK?
