Hi, I was hoping that you all might be able to recomend some amps (brand and/or size) for my f150 SCrew setup. Thanks in advance for the help.

The speakers that I plan to buy are as follows:

Front Stage:

Rainbow CS 265.25 Germanium http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products/details.php?lan=2&pro=1&lin=17&art=231138

Rear stage:

Factory powered by Head unit

Subs:

2-Image Dynamics IDQ10 V.2 (sealed box under rear seat -- downward firing) http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/tech_page.php?name=IDQ10D4%20V.2&type=sub&id=idq

I plan on running two amps. I am leaning toward Zapco, but have also gotten good feedback on Arc Audio.

Any recommendations on brand, number of channels (or wiring configuration in general), and output would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is there a general preference toward purchasing subs that are wired for 2 ohms or 4 (in light of the fact that I will buy an amp which is best suited for the speakers that I decide on)?

Thanks again. This site is great, btw.

I wouldn't hesitate to use some Arc Audio. The XXK4050 bridged for the comps and XXK1500 for the subs would be sweet. The 1500 doesn't put out that much more power at 2ohms than it does at 4ohms, so you could run it at either. If you think that would be a bit overkill, you could look at some of their 2 channel amps instead.

If you went ARC Audio You Could also do the Foose Line

Front Stage FD2200(100x2@4Ohms, 185@2Ohms)

SUBS FD600.1 (336x1@4Ohms, 620x1@2Ohms & 600x1@1Ohm)

The 620x1@2Ohms Would be kool 310Each That would be nice..

If your looking to put more than that too them

the FD1200.1 dose 1110x1@2Ohms

I think that would be alil much on the IDQ's

System Plan Sounds Sweet Though..

So What Zapco's did you look at?

The DCRefrence Line Is Sick But The Cost Is Way High..

Didnt see much of an eazy way for this system..

The ARc Would be The Way I Would Go...

Peace Troy

I think this guy still has a Foose 4150 for sale.http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8085
Findout if you can bi-Amp the comp set that would be a perfect amp for that..

I bi-amped a set of TypeX177R's with an old Zapco Z200

Man it was awsome..

Also The IDQ Is Very Nice Ported You Could Save Cash On getting One Sub & Porting it & you would need less watts aswell.. It Would Use about the same air space..

If You Do that you Could Run The FD2200 briged 320X1@4Ohms

Peace & Keep Us Posted..

Troy
