A little box design help

I have two Rockford T110s. I want to make a slot ported box for them. The Rockford website has some dimensions for this box on it, but I don't have the room to do what it says. It says to make the port 2" x 12" x 25.5". I only have 11 inches in height to work with. How do I scale it down? If I just do it proportionally, will I get the same results? Or should I keep the other dimensions how they are? I could make the width 2.18 inches to accomodate for the height, or should I just leave the width at 2 and change the depth?

if you make the opening of the port (total square inches) smaller than RF suggests, you will get too much port noise. if you only have 11'', you can bend the port across the bottom of the box (make an L-shaped port)

So should I make the port into an "L" shape with like 8 inches on one side and 4 on the other? Do you recommend anything or just however I want to divide it? And could I just change one of the other dimensions to make it the same square inches or should I go with the L shape?
