Greetings,

I am very new to this, I installed a stereo ( HU, 4speakers, and a SUB) on my chevelle.Because of the raise in gas prices I decided to buy a much smaller car a 2004 Aver hatch back.It has a Mp3 stock and 4 speakers that sound fine for now. But i would like to add a sub. Does anyone know where I should run the power wire and also where i should run the REM wire? On the chevelle there was a nice small hole and allowed a 8ga wire to run quite smoothly to the truck. Any Help?

There should also be a small hole in the firewall on that car. Since you dont have an aftermarket head unit, you will probably have to run the remote wire to a fuse. Pick a fuse that turns on when the car turns on and off when the car turns off (ex: radio). You could go to the store and get a special fuse (whatever size fits the spot you choose) that lets you connect a wire to it, or you can do it the cheap way and just take the fuse out and wrap the striped part of the wire around it and shove it back in.

I dont understand what hes saying but. You make a hole through ur firewall if you dont have one. U run the Power Wire (red) to your battery. Try to go like 3 inches away from Positive hook up, install ur Fuse and fuse holder. Run ur power cable through the firewall to the amp. Then u have to ground the amp less than 3ft i believe away. Get a self tapping screw and drill it through scratch paint off the frame around where the ground will be touching. Now There should be a Blue and White stripped Wire coming out the back of ur H/u that says Amp Power. Or something like that. U want to run a remote wire off that to ur Remote spot on ur amp. That gives it power. U also need to run RCAs to ur amp. Then u just have ur speaker wire to hook up. Take ur fuse out til ur all done. Then place it in so you dont blow it.

Thanks for the hellp. for anyone with a 2004 Aveo there is a small hole kind of in the middle of the car but its located on the passenger side cloest to the middle. the wire ran back as if it was ment to.thats all the further i got in one night.
