first off....how do the new merlin amps comapre to the old us amps

and by older i mean year 2000 tiill now...because nothing can touch or come close to a older (1990's+) Us Amps.....i noticed the merlin D2 is rated 1800w but it's rms is accually like 1500+ wrms...... wtf??

if you dont have any decent electrical upgrades (alt or several batteries), wouldnt this technically not really work.....if the voltage DOES go up, wouldnt that just drop the amperage or shoot your impedience through the roof???

Third.....how does thier DE-3000 compare to a USA-3000 or USA-3000x? in terms of power output, efficency, THD, low ohm burps, daily driving, quality componenets???

The pre 2004 usamps are built VERY well. I cant speak for the new ones because they are being made in part in Korea. I will personally say that I would put any pre 2004 USAMP against anything else on the market without any hesitation. The only line from the NEW USAMPS that compares to the pre2004 stuff would be the AX line in my opinion.

no, no it isnt.

1000Watts by the old school standards is a lot more than how they rate 1000 Watts now. Not to mention that the amps back in the day were built to put out a lot more than they were rated at.
