A few more questions?

I have a RF 360a2 amp, probably pushing 400 or so watts. I have a pair of JBL GTO1004D subs. 2 10's is too much, so I was going to switch to a single 10. The JBL is 250 watts rms and had dual 4 ohm voice coils. First off, would I be able to run the single sub on my amp safely? I am going to put it into a sealed box built to the specs (what few there are). Also, would this sub be anywhere near the quality of an IDQ? I am thinking about running a IDQ 10, but it will be 250 watts also. I would like the IDQ 12, but I am trying to find a cheaper setup. Thank you.
