A Few Fi Subwoofer Questions

Im still debating on a Fi Q and Fi BL, and what ohms power whatever one.

Now, if I get the Fi Q, I'd have to power it 2ohms at 1,100watts RMS rated (before impedance rise and other factors).

If I get the Fi BL, I'd have to power it either 2ohms at 1,100watts RMS or at 1ohms at 1,600watts RMS rated (before impedance rise and other factors).

Now, I need to know if everyone agrees that a Fi Q is better than a Type-R (which I had before I blew it) if the same power amount of power and amplifier was thrown at it. Any input?

I want a system/subwoofer that wangs hard, but also has clarity, but Im just nervous 1,100watts RMS isnt going to be enough juice (considering I threw a little more at the Type-R messing with gains), which is why Im also considering a Fi BL. If everyone thinks a Fi Q is hands-down louder, better, and all around greater than a Type-R at the same wattage, then Ill get that. If its a 'close call', then I may get the BL around 1,600watts RMS rated. I wanna save money on a Fi Q if its worth it over extra money on a BL with cooling.

The box will be a 2.5 cu.ft. 32hz (before displacement).

Can anyone help me out with this situation Im stuck in?

ALSO: If I get a Fi Q or Fi BL with Dual 2ohms, does that mean I only need to wire it up one voice coil to get 2ohms and both wired up to get 1ohms? Is that correct? Thanks.

that brutus amp wont put out 1600 watts. your looking atr mroe like maybe 1200 at 1 ohm and 900 at 2

yeah your def not gunna get 1600 outta that amp. go with the Q for your amount of power

Alright, then I think its settled Ill get a Fi Q at 1ohms. Thanks so much guys. I learn something new on here everyday.

Now..just gotta re-learn how to figure out how to set gains and settings..(reasons why I probably blew the Type-R).

Bunch of r-tards talking about something they know nothing about, they heard some uneducated joe shmoe say it... so they decided to start repeating it to others.

I'm sure you have all done bench tests, with a clamp and DMM. And also, while you were at it, whipped out the O-scope too right?

^^ my 1606d puts out roughly 1200-1300 at 1ohm. i may have gotten a somewhat defected/damaged amp. but thats what it reads
