Yes, a DSP can be added to a stock system but would still require an amp unless the DSP already has an amp built in. If you’re trying to look for an all in one package, check out audiocontrol, jl audio, helix, zapco, or jbl ms-8 if you can still find it.
 
Should you decide to change out the HU, the Eonon GA2187 has an incredible DSP built-in. The digital delay alone is worth the price of admission in my opinion.
