As much as some of these weight. How do you get them to stay in wood. Even with 4 inch screws..i feel like the force behind them would tear them out

You'd be surprised at what drywall screws will hold.

If you have a thick baffle and long screws, you're fine

Close, but not quite. Can still fit it in a box.

I've seen some custom stuff that was built to be inverted though. Magnet was much bigger than the edge of the basket

Take the boot off and cut the hole a bit larger. for fit.
