99 mistubishi eclipse gst or a 00jetta vr6

Mt friends Vr6 allways has some kind of problem with it, as soon as he fixes it another one springs up, its bone sotck all teh way around except he has an aftermarket HU. On the eclipse when u hit 100,000 miles or so, IF you didnt take extremly good care of it you will start having problems. From what ive heard the 5-speeds dont have as many problems as the autos have. I have an auto:crying: (dropped 3 grand in pass 3 yrs)

ask if the chains and belts have been done on the vr6...with 90k they will be needing them soon, ill assume sometime a lil bit after you roll over 100~105k miles. any mods to it? ask him what kind of oil he used with it...and just basically make sure you know what you are buying. i bought my 00 jetta with 84k on it, and just rolled over 93k so far so good. i had a 99 jetta 2.0L from i think ~46k-70k and it was fine. i know of alot of guys running thier VWs for a long time...

but ive heard vw's arent very reliable???
if you are talking about my posts, I was simply stating that saying a 2000 vw will be more reliable than a brand new yota is nuts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Pretty much any brand new car will be more reliable if ya take care of it. Your car would be brand new and you'll know it was treated properly its entire life unlike a used car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Oh and having bills, I'd take the yota for free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you would rather pay for a jetta with 90k than get a free yota thats brand new? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

in respect to the ^^ post, a new vw vs. a new toyota...if you are going for economical, cheap, more reliable, its the toyota...hands down. problems are cheaper to fix usually, and usually are much easier to maintain. but since i dont care about all that and i can take care of a car...its all about vws for me.
