99 mistubishi eclipse gst or a 00jetta vr6

VW is the way to go...i had a 99 2.0...sluggist but solid as a rock and handled well with a nice drop. now i have a 00 jetta turbo. its sweet. get the vr6, they are fun and a pretty good motor. then again, the gst is stock turbocharged, and will not be hard to upgrade, not to mention lighter. its up to you on what you want. if you want a more sporty, fast, easy to upgrade, small, not as nice of a daily...then get the GST...but in my opinion, the jetta will be a nice middle ground. its quick, sounds sweet, and can be upgraded (not as easily), and is larger. then again im trying not to be bias, but i am a VW guy.

As a PROUD ex-owner of a VR-6 i could tell you they are the way to go...however if you want to upgrade or get nice mods i could tell you, you better have deep pockets..atleast vs Honda or other japenese brand.

maybe a bit deeper, but not that deep. depending on what route you want to take with your car that is.

yeah this would be my first car. and im thinking that the eclipse might get a lil annoying after a while because i know both are fast. im 6'0 and 215 so im thinkin that the vr6 jetta is the way to go

oh by the way have any of u guys have problems with ur vw's. cause i love the way those cars drive but people say they are problem cars?????thx guys:)

I really, really loved mine...the only problem i got was that i got two tickets..speeding and reckless driving...my wife went crazy..so after two years i had to sell it.Other than that i`ll take any Vw over a Mitsubishi

nah, no problems with the vw...you just have to maintain it. its not a honda, you can drive it like u know nothing, not take care of it and still have it run...but just like any other car, you should take care of it and it will be 100% fine...make sure you ask the previous owner questions. how many miles are on the vr6?
