99 Chevy s10 Vs. 92 Lexus

I'm thinking of trading my 99 Chevy S10 (V6, stepside, Xtreme rims, 12X,XXX miles clean in and out, ac not working)

For a 92 Lexus SC300 ( Body kit, 107,xxx miles, Leather, dvd(not working), exhaust, Ac not working)

Good dealz? Let me know....i can't figure it out lol

is this a straight up trade? if so i would be a little cautious. Its not everyday somebody is willing to trade a lexus for an s10. however it does look like it could use a little work so maybe that is the issue?

i would probably do it but i would def have somebody look at it prior to trading

Can you afford to have the Lexus maintenance when it needs to be done. I am sure it is a hell of alot more than that S-10 would be. I have a couple friends who are pushing some decent whips, but break the bank when it comes to repairs.

There has to be more to it. Nobody in their right mind would trade a Lexus for an S10 unless it was salvaged. Id do a Carfax report on it and have a mechanic scan it and check for codes before trading. Take it through the car wash too to make sure the door seals dont leak as well as around the trunk lid.

Cause when something a bit too good to be true... it ain't normally good.

Engines stock, big pluss for me.

Yeah I would be cautious buying from a Marine check that thing over twice

They are worth pretty close to the same amount.

FWIW I would rather have the s10. It is more reliable, newer and cheaper/easier to fix.

Lexus looks too ricey for me, I'd keep the truck.

Not only for that reason but like others have mentioned, repair costs are through the roof.

How does the motor sound on the lexus? any ticks or knocks? all the gears shift smooth? Ask the guy to take you for a ride in it, see how he drives it casually. Then ask him to give her some hell to see what shes got and note how he drives it. If he's not afraid to drive the piss out of it when you're in there then I bet he's drove it hard many times before.
