only thing that makes aeros that much more efficent than a slot port is the flange, which this box just has the PVC, no flange, therefore, just as efficent as a slot port

put a tiny 7x7 port on this box (slot) and see how it performs

im not dissing this kids build, just your lack of attention to whats being done

Where was it ever stated that his ports would have no flanges?

im not dissing this kids build, just your lack of attention to whats being done

and the fact that it's circular, closer to a circle you can get, the more accurately tuned/smooth/anti-noise it'll be, also why a 10x10 port will sound better than a 5x20 port, and a 6 inch diameter port will sound the same or better than a 6x6 port, even though the 6x6 has almost 30% more area

It's the flares, the large smooth flares help lower the wind noise from the high velocity air movements. The only other thing is the finish inside the aeros, not that you couldn't do the same with a slot port, because you can.

Aeros are not necessarily better than slot ports.
