For some reason my doors keep locking on there own and cause the horn to honk over and over. I have a Prestige 2way alarm on it. I have the batteries out of the stock remotes and new batteries in the 2 way remotes. When I go in the car and wiggle the steering wheel it stops. Then a few mins latter it starts again. It dose it off and on. This just started this afternoon. Any Ideas as to what this may be? I am lost lol

Maybe the horn switch inside the wheel is stuck/loose and sticking shut and won't stop honking?

There should be a fuse somewhere under the hood, pull it out, it should stop and you can inspect it somehow.

Otherwise I'm guessing probably an alarm malfunction.

Yeah its still doing in. I disconnected the power wire to the alarm and its still doing it. As some of you may no, if you lock the door with your stock remote and hit it twice the horn will sound. The doors are locking and the horn is honking. Its driving me nuts!! I cant figure it out.

somehow or another the factory alarm has been activated. somewhere there's a short or you could have done what my mom did. acidently armed the factory alarm not knowing it. and then set it off. grab the factory remote and see what happens

There is no factory alarm. Just a panic mode and a horn beep to indicate that the door has locked. The ass hole the put the battery in striped the nut and now i cant get the positive wire off!! I am sure my neighbors are loving me at the moment.

that "panic mode" and horn beep for door locks is what's considered a factory alarm back then.

you said you couldn't get the positive off the battery. if you take off the neg it'll still kill the car.
Oh, thought that was bad. Anyways. i got the positive off. I don't know weather to take it to Ford or ware i got the alarm. When it comes to trouble shooting and wiring I am worthless. Thanks for your thoughts guys.
