98 Eclipse Hatchback deadening?

I was wondering if anyone has a 2G (95-99) Eclipse with sound deadening. I just got my stuff put in today and my 15" Brahma is destroying stuff. I have it turned almost all the way down and am not at all happy with it because of the excessive rattling (that and my rears don't work after I brought it home from the shop, no idea why). Seems I could have had the same rattling with my old junky 12" JL W0s.

Anyways, I have no idea what I'd have to do to fix the problem and was hoping someone else has already done this with theirs or a friend's. I'm also hoping to not have to drop too much money as I just spent about $1800 on this install after having to buy new fronts, rears, and head unit unexpectedly.

well your definately gonna need to invest in some deadener.

the shop will **** you on this so try and do it yourself.

run a search on this forum for Deadener, edead, dynamite, raammat etc...

I deadened my whole trunk and faced my subs forward i still get some awful rattle from under my car..

it might take more then just deadener to cure your rattles...

Edit: also forget the rears! your car is tiny worry about just your front speakers..

i just got done doing my trunk with dynamat. its very easy just clean the surface very well before applying. i used acetone.

give it a shot i did mine in about an hour and it was my first time.
