The two of us have to stick together, man. We both drive toy trucks that aren't worth $hit. At least that's how it was explained to me by the most intelligent person on this forum. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Be sure to keep us posted on this build. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product...

Mine only has the 4.7, but it still does okay. I haven't had it long enough for any "big" mods, really. Just got it in April. Going to do a shaker hood/ram air, Magna Flow dual exhaust and possibly look into a supercharger. I'll need the extra horses when I finally get to do my build.

Let me know of a good place to buy performance mods, man. I can't find a whole lot of stuff...

4.7 is a good motor . . get the AEM brute force intake and then get a complete exhaust headers back , taylor wires , denso iridium plugs , electric fans if you dont have them already, you can do an OBD programmer and there are a few sets of aluminum heads or you can have have a set of stock heads ported , maybe bigger valves ,cam etc , let the procharger be the last thing, im probly gonna even do a stroker kit on mine , im tired of seeing all these show trucks/cars with no engine mods, other than the autozone pepboys colored wire loom . . i want at least 450hp on pump gas

The ram air intake/shaker hood combo and a nice dual exhaust will allow the engine to breathe a lot better, so I'll probably start there. I'll more than likely do a couple of other minor performance upgrades too, but I don't really have a game plan as far as that goes. The equipment that's going into the vehicle this winter will be heavy, so I'll probably upgrade the suspension and braking systems too. I don't know how serious I'll get beyond that.

I have another vehicle that's a little more performance oriented, so I'll play with it once the Dakota is finished...

i have the 3.7 in my dakota. tho its a v6 its got quite a lot a bit of power. I have to say this tho for the electrical on that truck with the factory alt and battery up front with a mla module and 2 nice size batts in the back. it allowed me to run a true 2400 watts of non efficent power and it ran like a champ with no light diming lol. I have an intake and a flowmaster exhaust and its pretty awesome.

I've always wanted to try vinyl. Putting the foam underneath it was a great idea. Gives the box a very neat looking texture (and feel I'm sure). Looks quality. Don't listen to everyone else, don't rush! Take your time lol. I'd say 90% of the people here (including myself) when we get to the last stages, we're so eager to hear the system we just toss the last couple of tidbits together without care saying to ourselves "Yeah, I'll fix that later on down the line." (Which we all know never gets taken care of) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It seems like you've really taken your time and paid attention to the details, keep it that way, it looks like it will sound as good as it appears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

filler ? no its not done . . waiting on damplifier, bed cover , alternator , one more batt . . prolly just install everything and hear it tommorow tho , then pull the box when damp shows , stock alt will die tryn to keep up tho , but maybe just some quick hits on hot batts
