97 silverafo box for btl 15

I have a 97 silverado im putting a set up in and was wondering anyone has a nice set up for the extended cabs. Wad just going to throw the box on the back seat and call it a day but if anyone has a plan for the back id love to gear it.. I listen to mostly rap music so I want something that going really hit the lows and I was thinking 33hz tuned ported box? I've always used sealed because I like sound quality but no one does that with the btl 15? Trying to figure some things out would love some I sight.

Yeah you don't want to put the BTL in a sealed box. in fact I am pretty sure they say no sealed boxes on their website.

I would stick it in a nice ported box tuned for 30hz. Maybe 3 to 5cf. somewhere in that range. all depends on the power you will be feeding it and several other factors.

I have my Ascendant mayhem in a 3.5cf box and it seems about right, it was an extra box I had it's just tuned closer to 40hz, I am building a 4.5cf box for it tomorrow, only reason is I want something tuned lower.

The mayhem and the FI are nearly identical in most ways. go for about a 4cf box at 30to35hz and you should be happy. Many people on here will even send you plans for a box. I think I even have some dimensions laying around for that

32x16x16 sound ok? i have one now 2.6 cubes at 32.5hz that i designed for a high powered application. hmu for a model

Just curious if your going to take up the whole back seat with a 100+ lb enclosure why not just remove the back seat , it is 3 bolts and about a 10 min job and very easy to re install ( assuming this is a 3rd door model ) .

Either way with out bracing the back wall I would go sub forward port to the drivers side bottom, and tune around 28- 32 hz for daily

Its not the 3rd door model but that doesn't matter much to me..

take the back seat out and fire towards the back...my 94 was loud like that
