Aero port help...

So i need some help cutting down my aero port...

Box is 1.15cubic ft, tuned to 31hz calls for 16" Flared port from psp-inc.com tool...

Im kinda confused how to measure everything?

When i put the port together its 18" long... So i cut it down 1 inch and now its 17" long, 16" usable since the flares are 1/2 inch on each side....

Is that right?

If psp says 16" with flares, then it's 16" with flares. That leaves you with 15" of usable port length. You might to include that's it a 3" port too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No, 16 with flares. 15 without flares.

Each flare is 3" long, with 2.5" of usable port length IIRC, regardless, half an inch per flare isn't usable port length. So if you need an effective port length of 15" (without flares). Since there are two flares, 1" of the length is not considered usable port length. So if you need 16" of port length with flares, that means you have 15" of effective port length because of the two flares. 16-.5-.5=15
