97 Explorer Box port Q

I have a 97 Mounty. Two MTs. I am building a box like this.

I am not going to be competing. I like the look of the port going up but I have heard in Exs you need the port back. Will there be a HUGE difference with the port being up compared to the port being back?

It will be 10 cubes at 33hz.

In my explorer, The port facing the gate. and the 3 10"s i had sounded the loudest and clearest.. thats what i would go with Brother.

got anything in your car right now? if you do, poin tit towards the back of the car for a day, then point it towards the roof of the car for a day and see what you like. personally in my X, i've noticed pointing towards the roof doesnt sound quite as good/loud than pointing backwards.

ATM they are in a big *** sealed box. But I will change some things and get the port facing the back. Thank guys!

i like the rear-rear idea, but thats just me

face the port to the rear or else you may end up w/ a crack in your roof....
