91 S10 2wd or 94 4 door 2wd blazer.....

I'm going to listen to you shredder lol....and thank you chaseinbass for the positive feedback.....oh and chaseinbass were you referring to the cargo area in the blazer or the cubic feet in the bed of your ext cab? Nevermind just reread it lol.

Shredder and/or boomintahoe which engine do you guys have? And are you mechanically inclined? Because I've got the 4 3l tbi not the vortec....and i changed the plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, ignition control module, ecm, and adjusted the timing about 100 different times and for some reason it still wants to backfire and cut out when im driving down the road. Any thoughts or prior experience?

mine was fuel injected, 4.3 v6 fuel/air ratio might be off.

How is idle?.. it happens when cruising or all the time?.. I had a carb that did something similar once... it was a combination of a vacuum leak and fuel leak internal to the carb... it would idle ok, make power fine and surge at constant speed off idle. But when I slowed down it backfired after about 2-3 seconds... it was a fuel leak in the "power valve" I was told changing the mixture... idk if or how that would translate to TBI. My blazer had a spider injector (vortec)

Most definitely louie....I'm 110% sure on that. Dam shredder that sounds like it could be the problem no doubt. It happens randomly. Like i can back out of the driveway, start driving and get to about 35 ish and it starts. Sometimes its a soft backfire and sometimes its rough. And yes also when im cruising down the road and when slowing down is when it likes to cut off.....identical to your description shredder lol.

Sh*t this is going to be another adventure. This is my first 4.3l chevy that I've worked on. I wont take my cars to a shop. I'd much rather learn how to do everything everything myself. Well i know what I'll be doing today..

Back on topic.....i was thinking, i could do all three in a sealed box just out of curiousity....cause i know most everybody uses ported including me. I'm going to switch it up and see how they do in a 15 cu ft sealed box....recommended is 3.75 cu ft....but the owner of ct doesnt know sh*t about audio.....read the descriptions for his subs....stupid as f*ck....i wish i would've done my research before i bought the meso's....huge waste of $500 and $425 for psi recones.....f*cking pointless now that i think about it.
