91 S10 2wd or 94 4 door 2wd blazer.....

Which 15's? Sundown this time around?!
Idk yet... im still looking at options... I'd like to try something a little different than everyone... last time it turned out ok... but the electrical and amps will be the most important part... a pair of 1500 watt 15's shouldn't be overly expensive and the tune will dictate what I settle on... well see

Yes I would have to go over the wheel wells to achieve the full 16 cubes. And boomin_tahoe our cargo area's are identical. Except your interior looks phenomenal compared to mine lol....I'll upload some pictures of both vehicles so you guys can see what they look like at the moment.....they're both a piece fa sho haha.....and yes the top of the box would be the fourth line from the top of the defrost lines on the back hatch. Incase you wanted to know that part. Oh and the 91 s10 truck even though it's a single cab It would be strictly a bass only vehicle. Because since it's 2wd I had plans to slam it. Because I picked up a pair of 3 inch drop leaf springs for free because my neighbor just gave me a jl 250/1 in mint condition for free. So I traded that for the leaf springs lol.

I don't think I can do the 18's in the truck, I'd have to switch to 15's.....I've just always wanted to do a blow through. Because back in the day a friend of mine had two 12" kicker l7's in a shi tty prefab on a shi tty 2000 watt amp and it was hard to see straight...in his little s10 extreme on stock electrical with some cheap 4 gauge wire. But I'm leaning towards trying to sell or trade the s10 possibly both of them. I really hate two doors with a passion lol. It's so hard to get sh it out of the back. Especially my big a ss rolling toolbag.

That height may cause problems if the woofers face up... h*ll just wall it!... I'm saying I've seen the box too tall do strange things to the desired results... and redoing a setup that big is a pain... sub/port up, sub up/port back and even side ported... ive seen some epic fails trying to build too tall... anyone know the minimum distance or a general guideline on how close to the ceiling you can go?.. idk... ive seen some work and others drive the owner nutz trying to get the sound he expected... I'm talking about big tuning changes here... usually lower than the person wanted... not that that is ALL bad... lol

Sell which vehicles?.. I'm confused as to why you feel a pair of 18's are necessary to get loud, I've seen a pair of 12's do 152db musically and go pretty low as well... of course the woofers were 9512's on a M4b but regardless of that fact I feel the 15's in a sub up/port rear configuration is doable as h*ll... I'm probably goin' that route myself... are you trying for the WOW factor?.. heck 150 is loud at 40hz and under... try a 150 at 35hz vs 150 at 50 hz and you'll see what I mean.

I don't feel that I need 18's to get loud. I would trade them for some 12's, I prefer 15's. 12's just seem to small to me. I don't see how people run 8" subs. That's just to small. And I guess I wouldn't mind the WOW factor. I just want to be able to play 150+ on music. I've heard 155 around 50hz.....and it hurt bad. That's what I want to achieve. I've never had the opportunity to hear 150+ below 50hz.....how much different is it? Oh and I was way off on the cubic feet for the cargo area lol. I kinda figured I was.

I was just about to say there is no way you got 16 cubes well not in just the rear ? I barely squeezed that out of the entire rear of my full size extra cab a little over 16 cubes a little under 14 after displacements. Hope you have better luck this go around.

Aero a set of 15's in there and you'll get around 8.5-9.25ft3 net about 4.5-5.5" above the window line without building above the wheelwells... in that airspace you can pretty much go with any quality pair of 15's out there... and a S-10 Blazer ought to get pretty loud on good power (say +4-5k) or more in that airspace... thats my plans... that'll leave 5.5" or so for port clearance to the tailgate btw
