8w7 HO Box

Hi, I know this will behard to find but I'm hoping someon knows somebody with one of these and might be able to help me. I am looking for a 8w7 HO box it has the red carpet on the front, ported. I had on once and traded it off for other JL stuff, now I need one and am kicking myself. I have cash and paypal. I may be willing to buy it loaded for the right price. Any help would be great thanks.

They're telling you the truth. You might have liked the sound of the HO enclosure but for the money they were pretty much shlt. You can seriously have one built for pretty reasonable to the specs of that one. Contact pro-rabbit (DC Designs) or Mobile_Enclosures or Ram Designs..... Those are just a few of the guys on here that could build one for you.

What do you mean by ****? we're they not durable, did you think they didn't sound good? And if they were soo shity how is it there are not 10 of them for sale on here, eBay, and Caigslist. The one I had was 5 years old and showed no signs of wear and sounded like 2 10" subs easy. Also if what you say is true and there crap then finding one for cheaper than a coustom built box should not be that hard. Again thanks but no thanks.

I didn't say they didn't sound good. I'm saying you're probably going to have a hard time finding one. Right? So why not talk to a reputable box builder and tell him you really liked the sound of that box and would like it reproduced. There wasn't anything special about the HO boxes. If you give one of the guys I listed the specs of the box they'll build it for you. Not hard to understand right? Tell them what you'd like to spend on it and they'll get it done. Don't get so defensive.... JL stuff is a good product. But if you stick around for a while you'll find it's overpriced most of the time due to advertising and name recognition alone.

Those enclosure were not a good design or build quality. You would think that what they loaded their W7 in would make them perform to their best potential, but those enclosures did on do that very well.

I would check your local audio shops or craigslist. You might find one there. Ebay would be another direction to go when looking for that exact enclosure.

Were you not asking for others' opinions when you said this? It's cool that you liked the way the box sounded, but you'll likely not find anyone here that has one, at least in a timely fashion. If you don't mind bumping this topic every day for four or five months, then by all means, go ahead.

But if you want to get a box that will outperform the other, more quickly, and probably much more cheaply, then why not try to do that instead? You can hug JL's nuts all you want, but you have to think sometimes.

And if I were you, I'd value pro-rabbit's opinion over anyone else's in the topic. He knows what he's talking about.
