8w7 HO Box

Hi, I know this will behard to find but I'm hoping someon knows somebody with one of these and might be able to help me. I am looking for a 8w7 HO box it has the red carpet on the front, ported. I had on once and traded it off for other JL stuff, now I need one and am kicking myself. I have cash and paypal. I may be willing to buy it loaded for the right price. Any help would be great thanks.

Your right I don't give a crap about what any of you have to say, I just wanted some help to find what I was looking for, not to be harassed by know it alls.... Btw my local shop wants 150+ to build me something else I don't want. And 75 for a simple square with an aero port that I could build myself. I'll be happy to pay the 50 to ship. Can I get some pics of this box?

You come into this forum, unfamiliar with it, and ask for something that we all know is a POS. Then you get butthurt and defensive when we actually try and help you out instead of humbling yourself a bit and maybe at least considering people's advice. Pro-rabbit has been into car audio for a long time. He builds enclosures for people that compete not only in SPL competitions but in SQ competitions as well. Matter of fact he did mine. I love it! It's FVCKING AWESOME! He also does custom installs. This isn't about him making money off you. He's on this forum giving his advice. FOR FREE! Yet you insult him as well. Wow! Please get the information you came for so you can get back to looking at p0rn in your mom's basement.

Ya I definately cant agree with some of you. i got my 12w7 with the HO box new and the quality is pretty good. i didnt pay nowhere near retail but the output and low end response was excellent. And i now have a custom enclosure sealed into the cab of my lincoln and on the real lows its not as good. And the custom enclosure i have is a solid 1" mdf slot port. They put alot of time and engineering into that box. But we all know how anything with JL's name on it goes on this site!

I told him he could get the exact enclosure if he gave someone the specs only better built. That's all... Never said the box sounded bad. That wasn't any of our intentions I don't think. And for the record I like JL. I just think it's a little expensive.

What do you mean by ****? we're they not durable, did you think they didn't sound good? And if they were soo shity how is it there are not 10 of them for sale on here, eBay, and Caigslist. The one I had was 5 years old and showed no signs of wear and sounded like 2 10" subs easy. Also if what you say is true and there crap then finding one for cheaper than a coustom built box should not be that hard. Again thanks but no thanks.

Your trollin dude... ive heard plenty of vehicles with JLs that are very loud. And i have one still from my w7 so your wrong right there... maybe 64,999 members then?

i guess it would depend on your meaning of the word "loud." did they spend a lot on designing that box? sure they did...is it still a over priced subwoofer and a super over priced box? 100% is. defend it not being overpriced. and dont say you get what you pay for because you get a w7 sub that they say can handle 2000watts but is not covered under warranty with that kind of power, is what 267$ to recone it...and it is not the loudest or best sounding sub out...much better could be had for less.

And if anyone knows anything about selling anything, the costumer is always right, Unless "he's" completely uneducated and ASKES!!! For help. I didn't do that either. It's a WTB ad in a classified portion of a forum. "DoesDad" buy you everything you want? Must be nice. I earn mine, and chose how I'd like to spend it. Right now it's a stupid POS box. Even if I have to balance it on my oversized head while swimming back from Portagal. Thanks D2R for being civil. Not everyone in this hobby is looking win comps.

99% of our members work hard for their audio with part time jobs while in school just like myself. daddy doesnt buy anything over here...we are not SMD...if you want the box thats fine it is your money. the guys only tried to point you in a different direction because honestly i doubt you will ever find that box local or on ebay. nobody buys a w7 with that box then ditches the box. honestly your average jl user doesnt know much about the hobby and wouldnt dare sell his prized over priced JL box...why??? because he has no idea how to build his own. best bet...call JL and try to talk to them. if you bought your sub retail tell them the box got wet and you threw it out. fax the proof of purchase and maybe they will cut you a price break.

my first show ever was doing free meters for cars and i took mine up to the lanes with a 13w7 in the trunk. everyone was saying how niced it looked and that it was actually loud for just one sub.

it was not in an HO box so i cannot comment on that, but jl equipment really is top notch. just over priced...

Btw I have never paid retail for any of the audio equipment I have owned,so, overpriced does not apply to me. I have owned mostly pioneer head units and JL amps and speakers at least 15 different types and versions of subs alone and loved them all. I currently own (2) 8w7s (1) 12w7,(1) 1000/1, (2) 500/1(s) and a offshore boat load of JL marine. I just want a little more bass in the wife's SUV.

I made the mistake of trading mine off, so if I have to pay a few bucks for it fine. Get at me J&B

Dude it's not the fact you want the box or that the box is a pos. It's the fact you got all shltty about it right away. Try acting a little more civil towards people. You usually get a better response. And fyi I have 3 daughters. 2 teenagers and a 6 year old. If and when I get to buy something it's because I saved up a long time for it. I get on here because I enjoy it. I help people if I know what they're asking and I happen to have the answer. I have never gotten an attitude like yours towards people simply because they were pointing out other options and trying to be helpful. That being said, I wish you luck in your search....
