8's hit hard right?

Yeah, I have heard a few pretty wicked 8's, but alot of it had to do with the boxes. I cant wait to hear the 8a

go w/ these 8's...for 100" u could do 3 8's and take a 15 if u did it right

In general the more cone size the louder the speaker can get. This is different for all speaker brands though so you have to go model by model. For example a 10"JLw2 will not hit as hard as a 12"JLw2. But a 12"JLw7 will hit infinately harder than a 15" Sony Xplod.

yeah, the 8a is most def. wang! but for the price....you could get like 6 of the re 8's....ha ha and that would most definitely be more wangin. peace

what size box? what was it tuned to? what amp? what vehicle? what mic?

I don't remember the exact specs on the box and have no idea about the mic. It was a ported box built exactly to JL's specs by The Sound Room here in St. Louis. The amp is a Phoenix Gold ZX-600 ti running bridged (obviously) By the way its all for sale.

This was in a 98 S-10 ext cab.
