I traded my front stage for some pc stuff. I'm sorta glad I wasn't paying attention to what I bought. I thought I bought 4ohm speakers but they were 8ohm speakers. Anyway I wanted to know if I used 8ohm or 6ohm speakers that are 120 watts rms with a 4ohm passive crossover what ohm load am I pairing my amp with? I know that I would need an amp that does 240 watts @4ohms for a speaker that is 120 rms @ 8ohms. So do I still use a 240 watt amp to power an 8ohm speaker even though I'm using a 4ohm passive crossover? I'm just all around confused with the 6ohm speakers. I always wanted to go active but using factory paired componets are so much easier to install and use. The manufacture takes away the guess work. I wanted to put together my own 3way or 2way using speakers from madisounds.com, partsexpress.com,or solen.com. Can someone gelp me better understand how to use a crossover with 6ohm and 8ohm speakers? Also can someone also help me better understand how to pair speakers ohm wise and pic the proper power for them. Can some one recommend a three way under $400. Thanks

I wanted to get some opinions on a new front stage. If you had $250 limit on comps and your options are a pair of Hertz HSK165 or a pair of Morel Dotch Ovations which would you choose if your rear stage is a pair of Morel Tempo 6's?
