8in Component Speakers

So after careful thought I have changed my mind about getting a set of Crescendo Mezzo 6.5in Components and I'm wanting to get a set of 8in components. My stock speaker location is only 6.5in but I will be enlarging it and my doors are deadened. They will be running off of a Crescendo symphony 550/2. Now I thought about getting 2 PWX 8in running them off one channel at 2 ohms. Then a set of tweeters on the other channel. Would this work? If so I will do that. Also my budget is about $200. If need be I will increase but don't have much to spend on these. Also will be running 2 12s off a Crescendo bc2000.1 If that helps any.
