8AWG safe for 2 amps?

Hi,

I used a rockford 8WG amp install kit to install a 150W amp (which powers 6inch component speakers). I now want to install another amp, 435W, to power a 10 inch sub.

I have a distro block that can run 4 or 8AWG to two 8AWGs. I was hoping to run 8AWG to the distrubtion block and 8AWG to each amp. It was a pain to run the 8AWG from the battery to the back of my car and I really don't want to have to replace it. But will this be safe? Will there be a noticeable difference in sound?

Thanks a lot!

I'd change the wire from the battery to the distro to 4 gauge. See the below chart.

Thanks Silverman. I was hoping I could get away with quick install by using the 8AWG. But I don't want to end up regretting it. I'll go with the 4 gauge

Do you think I could get away with using the 40 amp fuse from the 8 gauge on the 4 gauge?
