880PRS Mid Problems - Please Help Soon

The eq is awesome on the 880. The auto eq sucks, doesnt sound right at all. The auto time alignment sounds the same as the manual one set to driver seat. I dont like the time alignment sound either, maybe its just me, but all the gadgets except the eq on the pioneer are useless. The sq is great, but with all the problems Ive heard of people having I wouldnt take the chance. Ive had to uninstall mine twice and reinstall my alpine 9856, plus a crossover because Im running active, **** pain in the ***.

So you're saying the crossover is useless? Isn't the crossover the main feature on this thing? I think with it's crossover, EQ and time alignment (I like the time alignment, I think it makes a difference) features and also the great signal processing it's worth the risk. I mean, the only risk you're taking is like 10 bucks of shipping, if it's defective just send it back to pioneer and get a new one... I doubt the problems are as common as you'd think also, because most of what you hear is people posting they had problems, those that didn't aren't saying anything at all because they're out listening to their excellent new HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

He didn't say anything about the crossover, just the AUTO EQ.

He said every gadget on it is useless except for the EQ.

Thanx for jacking my sig
Umm...ya...like no ones ever used a picture of a HU in their sig? I had a picture of my kenwood before, therefore when I got my pioneer I got a picture of that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

The EQ is great on the 880 Who, we were talking about the Auto EQ. And Babs, just go with the 880, you're taking a risk but I think it's well worth it.
I'm seeing refurb drz9255's in the $600's.. Now there's one for the risk takers, but if you got a good one, you'd have the best, except CD only.
