850w RMS to each 12" Type R safe?

Plan on purchasing a Lanzar OPTI2000D to power my Type R's.

Each is rated for 500w RMS but I have heard of them being able to take 800-1000w RMS for daily driving.

If I wire each Type R to 2 ohms I will get a final impedance at the amp of 1 ohm which puts out 1687w RMS so 850w RMS per subwoofer.

Would I be safe to do this?

The box I will build is Moe Lesters 4ft^3 tuned to 35Hz with 50 sq inches of port (it his 4ft^3 @ 35Hz #1)

Will this be an ideal setup or should I get an amp that gives only 500w RMS to each Type R?

How much power should/could I throw at each Type R in this box?

I might....when is it?I don't compete...never have but I think it would be killer to check out those that do and I am sure I could gather much info there.

I'm in saint pete, seminole to be exact...we're lookin at June 25th tentativly and location is TBA....lol....I think a member will have a TL out but it's no competition. Just a bump and **** around kind of deal....

You will be fine. You wont get that much power daily anyway.

Sounds interesting although with my current setup I think I would be luaghed out of there in a heart beat LOL.

Current system:

Sony CDX-M630 HU

Stock 3.5" front stage (no amps)

No rear stage

OH,and did I mention they are housed in a Visonik Bandpass enclosure LOL I swear I should just kick myself for that one LOL.

two Sony XS-L101P5 subwoofers

Profile CA600M amplifier wired to 2 ohms final impedance for 420w RMS x1 @2ohms.

So get this sub system built and come out, if anything just to meet the members and get some ideas...Dont worry, my car is a POS 2 accidents later...2 old type-r's that dont sound too well and an ugly box I built, lol.

Hopefully I'll have the amplifier by that date and installed,if I do I'll most likely show up.I have about another 2 weeks of saving to do before I buy the amp and I think in the meantime I'll build a 4ft^3 slot vented box tuned to 35Hz and try and do the BIG 3 upgrade in 1/0 wire.

I was looking at amp wiring kits for this much power and they are ridiculously expensive all for just a **** name too.

I think I'll just buy 15' of 1/0 power wire from my loacal audio shop for the battery pos to amp pos. and a length of 1/0 ground wire for the amp neg/ground to the ground location in my trunk and have a little left over to do the Big 3 upgrades.

One more question.

If wiring the subs down to 2 ohms each and final impedance at the Lanzar OPTI2000D is 1 ohm for 1687w RMS at 14.4v would I box would I be better off with...
