I need help designing a sub box to fit in the T-tops well of an 83 ***** am, I'm 15 and recently lost my dad, we had worked everything out but the box, i have;

installed

alpine cde 102

pioneer 6x9's

eclipse 4x6's

uninstalled

alpine mrp500

hifonics vulcan (180 watts)

2 Kicker FA 12's

im hoping to trade or sell the alpine sub amp, then buy a 1k or 1.5k hifonics amp to power the subs, the subs are 4 ohm and rated at ~400 rms per. their also "free air" so i assume they need to be in a ported box. thanks for the help. ask me about any other info.

do u know the model # of the subs?

if they are free air, u dont need a ported box. it might be hard to do it in a ***** am. but u need to separate the front from the back and thats it.

see how the front is separated from the back of the subs? thats what u would need to do if they are Free air, or infinite baffle subs

the closest thing to a serial number would be F12a you can google that and get the right subs :/ the rear t-top well would work perfectly for the subs in this scenario! im hoping to upgrade to some much larger 12's sometime in the next year, so at that point i'll have to build a real box...

Thanks for the help

Drew
