It is subjective, after all. I just go by what my ears and the specs tell me.

RE8s sound like poopy in my experience.

Pretty sure they ranked at or near the bottom of Loyd's Great 8 Challenge in SQ as well...but a very good value for output.

i have 8 8" True Bass solutions tuned to 51hz, not exactly great sq, but LOUD AS fudge, hit 149 on the TL when in the previous owners maxima, now its in my jeep and im very eager to have it metered!

i have heard great things about the ascendant audio Assassin 8's.. great sq and on the inexpensive side..

I have 4 8" JL W0 in my truck. They were cheap and sound good.

RE8s sound like poopy in my experience.

i wouldnt call it poop, and asside from the fact that 4 of them with 500w where creating port noise from two 3" ports...flared and unflared (tried both) i wouldnt call them SQ.

Assasins on the other hand. Louder and sound better than te RE's.

Hacent used an RL-i 8 so i cant tell you anything about it besides people say they are the shit.
