8" subs that will impress

So we have a e8a, AA 8", DD 8" and the Rl-i8 sub as my list of 8" subs
Again, I'm looking for best bang for the buck setup. I have 600W to play with, biggest box I'd like to run is 1ft^3 1.25^3 max! Sealed or ported.

I want to get the most out of the sub SPL wise, but I also want there to be SQ.

Assassin's take 350 RMS and I have mine at .4cubes very nice would like it a little louder but it is in the trunk with lots of deadending

Amazing that you're ignoring the IDs ... you said you wanted SQ, IDs are awesome SQ subs.

I know ID's are great SQ subs, but I am just worried about not having the SPL output. I don't really think I'm a true SQ junkie, but I'd like it to sound good to all music types. Quick bass hits that you can feel in the chest for those kick drums, decent low/loud bass lines for rap, and smooth bass for the low-key relaxing music
