8w7, L5 8" if done right, supposedlt the dd8 is badass but i havent heard one yet, they look good in person but havent heard one.

Well other than 8W7's I mean.

Basically, I have 600W @ 4ohm and I'm trying to decide what I want to put into my RX7. I don't know if I want to put two 8's sealed or a single 8 ported. I had a 10W7 in my car but I want something smaller that won't take up the trunk as much.

I was thinking maybe an 8L5 or 8L7 but I lean a little more to SQ, and I know that most people don't like the SQ for the barics, but I know that the solobarics can produce SPL great so I have no worries for SPL.

I'm also looking at a pair at 9Kv2's considering they are only 135 shipped for the pair and need very small air space.

x2 on the rl-i 8s. i was gonna mention those as well.

also the re 8's. i believe a guy hit in the 130s-140s with a single re 8 in a ported box in his van..

8s are too small for cars IMO

The RE RE 8's are only good used in large quantitys, otherwise they are no better (but imo worse) than a JL w0.

BTW: The only 8's I'd put in my vehicle would be an 8" W7, audioque LW8, or the DD 8.

if you can find one, i loved my eD A-Series 8...i know its blasphemy to show love to eD on this board, and i agree, but that little sub was pretty cool

Here is the dilemma. I have a 94 RX-7 and as you know they are very small cars. The kind of output that I'm looking for a sub is one that I'll be able to feel the hit in my chest like kick drums and sounds good. I've tried a 10W7 and had troubles getting installed in the hatch because of the size of the sub and mounting depth.

I only have around 8.5" of height so no matter what I'll have to angle and I don't have that much mounting depth so that's why I'm going for an 8. I don't know if to do 2 8's sealed or a single 8 ported. I only have 600W so I can either get a single "super 8" sub and port it and put the 600W to it if it can take it, or get two 8's and seal them.
