8" subs give me a headache

My four 8" subs give me a headache. It may be that i drive a single cab truck and the subs are right behind the seat, but they make my head hurt. Im not saying that they are the shit or are super loud. I was just wondering if anybody else has the same problem. 10"s and 12"s dont give me one. I dont know what is up. They are Xtant a4 subs in a single chambered box acrossed the back of the seat sealed.

They are running off a 250d jl amp.

You tell me if its me or does this happen to other people.

trust me, i dont turn them up that loud. My clarion deck goes to 60 i think, and i listen about 18 most of the time. A lot of the music is 311, jimmy eat world, and flogging molly. Bass but it isnt like rap. It might just be my head. IDK

windows are always down and the xover is a 55. I dont know, i was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem

Might not actually be the bass giving you headaches, but rather your highs........

I noticed the same thing with my Kappa 10's, but it was all in the box I had them in at the time (crappy) and undivided... And in an open air environment.

Try a different box with seperate chambers. That's what I did and the problem went away.

Im thinking that when you listen to somethign with 10" and 12" woofers, the bass drownds out the mids a little, and like squeak said, those are what is infact giving you a headache. Could be wrong but that is my guess.

i played a sweep in my room from 20-20k hz, like the floor was shaking, but it felt like my head was going to explode at 10k and up.

my W10GTi gives me lil headaches...depends on the time of day tho..weird huh?

lik in the morning i play it at 35 and no headache then after school going home 35 hurts so i turn it down to lik 28

i have a box in my extra cab and the sub is rite behind my seat. i personally get headaches mainly from the loudass highs and occasionally from the rumbling bass when i have a preexisting headache or have an intense driving session.

Teh music should be soothing and pleasurable to listen to, mine makes me smile when something flows really nice, I dont ever get headaches, I think yall just listen a littleeee too loud.
