8" Sub .5-.75cu^ Recomnedations.

No longer going to be running a big system in my car.

Going for space saving/weight saving.

Box would be ported and in between .5 and .75 cu ft.

Staying with a 8" sub, and a cap of around $150, what would you recommend?

Figure around 350-400wrms. Maybe more for a beefier 8.

find a used sa-8 v.2, or even a new one is only a little more than what your wanting to spend. ive ran single v.2's in a couple cars already with very good results, and my pair was doing a 142 at 30hz.

I was looking into them, but would .75 be optimal for it or still a bit small?

Also would be tuned between 30 and 33 hz.

Yeah it'll work. They recommend 0.5-0.75 cu. ft tuned to 35 hz.

sa8, put it in 1 cu ft net, with a decent amount of port and a lower tuning.

personally i dont really like the way the sa-8's sound in a 1 cube box, the most i will go with one is .75, i had a pair in 1.5 with 60in^2 of port, and they just loved it...
